Beyond Nuno Felting      Melinda LaBarge

In this 2 day workshop you will make two scarves using 2 different felting techniques; Shibori, and Resist. In Shibori, marbles, rocks, or small pieces of glass are wrapped into the felt before the fulling process resulting in 3-d structures and texture changes in the finished piece.  The Resist technique is used to isolate areas where we don’t want the wool to integrate with the silk. The result is elegant. Previous experience with wet felting is required.
