Saturday, February 15
10:30 – 3pm
Tuition: $50 Materials: $35+

This introductory class is for people who are not familiar with metal clay.  Metal Clay consists of microscopic particles of silver, gold, copper and base metals combined with an organic binder.  Metal Clay can be worked with carving tools, molds, shapes and textures.  Your creativity is the limit.  Once your piece is filed to a smooth finish, it is fired in a kiln.  The organic binder burns off, and the piece is then solid metal.  We will discuss the workings of the clay, the tools used, and the process from beginning to end after which you’ll have a piece of jewelry of your own creation and choice: pendant, charms, earrings, etc…
