Beginner’s Caning

Sundays, September 8 – October 13hand cane stool

Class fee: $275 (includes kit)

For anyone who wants to learn to do your own caning; whether to replace old work, or make new pieces! You’ll learn all the steps in the craft of hand cane and bring home a completed stool. The kit will include the tools you need and you’ll need to add a sponge, nail clippers, two or three clothes pins, a pointed tweezer and a small bowl.

Create a beautiful Zentangle®  fall leaf design on eco-dyed paper suitable for framing.

Zentangle® is a relaxing, easy to learn method of creating beautiful images by using simple structured patterns. Artists and non-artists alike enjoy the simple elegance of putting pen to paper and find that it enhances creativity and stress relief.

Beginners welcome! Learn the art of creating beautiful rugs.  In this class you will learn basic hooking techniques, including rug types, backings, color planning and finishing options. Kits will include a choice of 12” x 12” pattern, wool and a rug hook.  If you have a piece you’ve always wanted to finish, you are welcome to use this class to learn to do so!



Macrame           Twisted Sisters

Ages: Adults and teens 14+

The 70’s are back! Gather your friends, we’ll crank the tunes and have some laughs all while learning to macrame! In this class, we will teach all of the essential macrame knots necessary to make and take home a macrame plant hanger! All supplies will be provided and the class will be tailored to the needs of the individual group – everyone can move at their own pace without worrying about falling behind. No experience necessary. We can knot wait to see you!


Beadweaving – Dutch Spiral      Deb Fairchild

Ages: Adults and teens 14+

I love the elegance of the graceful scallops that characterize the Dutch spiral beadweaving technique.  This particular variation of the Dutch spiral combines various sized seed beads to create spirals with spectacular depth and breadth. Choose your colors to emphasize the texture and create a piece with dramatic interest.  No previous experience required.



Nuno Felt – Any Level    Melinda LaBarge

Ages: Adults and teens 12+

Learn one of the fastest growing techniques in felt-making. Nuno Felt is the integration of silk fabric and wool roving to make one fabric. You will create a Nuno Scarf from a piece of hand dyed silk, wool roving and a few embellishments. The materials fee includes instructions and raw materials. Please note that this class requires standing most of the day. No experience is necessary.

Open to adult and teens 14+

Classes are offered in an “open weave” tradition. In these classes students can choose from numerous projects appropriate for their level, and progress at their own pace with teacher assistance. All levels from beginner to advanced students are welcome.


Stained Glass Classes**  Mark and Kathy Frank

Thursdays starting September 12, 6:30 – 9pm   OR

Saturdays starting September 14, choose:
Mornings: 10am – 12:30pm  OR  Afternoons: 1 – 3:30pm

Materials: Cost of glass ($15 – $30)

Beginners $250 (Includes tools) or $175 (Bring your own tools)
In this 5 week course we explore all the basic techniques needed to accomplish at least 2 finished stained glass pieces in the copper foil method.  Adults only.

Intermediate $150 (Bring your own tools)
This is a fun, informal, 5 week course where you can perfect your skills, learn new techniques, and do projects with a higher level of difficulty.  Adults only.

** These Stained Glass workshops will be held at Renaissance Glassworks 3 Pine Street in Nashua.


Fundamentals of Making Jewelry*        Sussy-Rose Shields

Dates: Open Enrollment/Choose Wed, Thur, or Fri

Time:   2 hours/session, 6 sessions total
Tuition:  $240     Materials: $50 – $90
Ages:  Adult and teens 14+

Basic techniques of jewelry making will be taught using wire and sheet in copper and silver.  Learn to pierce, solder and finish metals.  You can expect to complete 4 or 5 projects.

* This class will take place at SRS Studio, 35 Howard Street, Wilton, NH
